About Barbara's Cakes

Barbara's interest in cake decorating began when her children were very young, when she was made birthday cakes for the kids, her family and for her friends. As her children grew, so did her desire to learn more.
Barbara enrolled in the Upper Bann Institute to gain a qualification under the tutelage of June Jackson (thank you June!). (Barbara is also a member of the sugarcraft guild that holds monthly meetings in Dungannon, Belfast & Newtonabbey â“ new members or guests are always welcomed.)
Before long what began as a hobby was transformed into a business: -

Barbara offers a full service, from friendly consultation right through to delivery.
Fruitcakes are soaked in brandy
Chocolate cakes
Madeira cakes can be either butter, orange or lemon favoured
Cake stands or bases can also be hired.

Barbara specialises in sugar flowers, modelling and brides & grooms.
Also Arista Soft flowers that are made using similar techniques as those used for sugar flowers.
The advantages of Arista Soft flowers are that they are lightweight and transport easily.
These can be made in white, ivory, cream or can be coloured if the customers desires so.
Whether it's a single flower or bouquet, Arista Soft flowers can be posted out.

- Plaster bride & grooms
- Marzipan etc

Barbara also stocks:
- Table confetti
- Confetti cannons
- Champagne bubbles
- Bonbonieres (made on request)

As part of the business, Barbara provides balloons for all occasions (air filled or helium).
These can be co-ordinated to your wedding birthday, engagement, and anniversary or any other occasion. These are taken to you venue and set-up for large parties or weddings
